Now I just need some wind to try out my new Shinn Dundee and Ozone Edge.
Hi guys, I'm posting this here before I do on other forums to give somebody local the first chance - if you're interested PM me or email ross@phizz.biz.
Two Awesome Kites (bar/lines included)
The kites are 12m and 9m Liquid Force Hi-Fi Comps, 2009 model. The Hi-Fi Comp 2009 is a 5-line hybrid C/SLE site. It's a C-shape, with LF's diamond wing tips, and a bridle on the 5th line. It's got the direct C-kite feel, but with the extra control, depower and relaunchability of an SLE.
Why did I buy this kite originally? I come from a land-boarding background. On land boards, I used (and loved) the Flexifoil Blade IV traction kite. I really liked how grunty, quick turning, controllable and powerful the Blade was. So when I transferred to kitesuring, I was disappointed with my first kite (2008 Best Nemesis) due to it's slow turning and spongy control. So I got Hi-fi comps on the basis they they would have a similar feel to my Blade IV in terms of speed and control. And yes they do - very fun kites to fly. Really powerful, really fast, really reactive. They are pitched as freestyle/competition kites although I never really got into tricks (mainly due to not getting out on them enough and so not being fit enough to try!), but they are great for free riding as well - mega acceleration, high speed, scarily big boosts, popping over the waves, etc. I wouldn't say they are great for hardcore wave riding, but if you're like me, that don't matter. The only word of warning is that the Hi-fi comp is not for newbies who want really easy back and forth sessions. If you want acceleration, speed, power, a good abdominal workout, and loads of adrenalin, then the Hi-fi comp is for you.

Liquid Force Hi-Fi Comp 2009 12m
Kite + Bar + Lines
Original bag
Red/Gold/White colour scheme
This kite is in excellent condition. I bought it practically new in late 2009 from a guy who had only flown it a handful of times. I've flown it between 10 and 20 times in total. It has never been damaged and has never been in need of repair - not even pin holes. It holds its inflation all day with no leakage. The bar and lines are also in excellent condition - lines still have a bit of the waxiness of new lines. No knots or tangles. Kite, bar and lines were never stored wet for long - always dried out in my garage. Bar and lines rinsed with fresh water after each session. Included in original Liquid Force carry bag - heavyweight, sturdy, super condition.

Liquid Force Hi-Fi Comp 2009 9m
Kite + Bar + Lines
Original bag
Blue/Gold/White colour scheme
This kite is in very good condition. I bought it second hand in 2010. Judging by the bar and lines when I bought it, it had had its fair share of usage, but has not been abused by any means. When I bought it, it only had a couple pin holes already patched - patches are still perfectly intact. I have flown it less than 10 times, and noticed after the most recent session that there is another small area with some pin holes that will need to be patched (pic included). There are no inflation/bladder issues - kite holds air all day. The bar and lines are in good condition - used but not abused. Kite, bar and lines were never stored wet for long - always dried out in my garage. Bar and lines rinsed with fresh water after each session. Included in original Liquid Force carry bag - heavyweight, sturdy, super condition.

One Sweet Board
Shinn Luigi 2010 model, size 130x40.
What can I say, Shinn make sweet boards. In fact, my new board is a Shinn Dundee - the Luigi's successor (also tempted by the Shinn Monk). The Luigi was my second kite board. My first was a Crazy Fly Raptor Pro, which I could never quite gel with - it was difficult to hold an edge on and to go upwind. One session after getting the Luigi, and all my problems were gone. If you are having upwind issues, get this Luigi, stick your back heel down, and boom - you'll be going straight upwind. In fact, it's hard not to go upwind. It's a really nice board to ride - nice memory-foamish foot pads, good shock absorption, great carving. I worry that I'll regret selling it.
The Luigi is in very good condition. It's got the same scuffs and surface scratches that any second hard board is going to have (see pics). Paint is wearing off fins slightly, but fins are in super condition otherwise. No deep nicks or scratches. No corrosion. Always rinsed in fresh water after every session and stored in board bag (board bag not included in sale).

I'd consider an offer for purchasing all three.
Reason for selling: I'm gettin' new kit, baby!
